Tenex 

If you have a painful tendon disease, you may be a candidate for a number of treatments including tenotomy with Tenex technology. Commonly before considering this treatment, our doctors will examine you, scan the tendon with ultrasound or MRI and plan for care including:

Tenex:

A minimaly invasive ultrasound guided procedure, Tenex can precisely remove diseases segment of your tendon, and allow for body’s natural regenerative healing to take place.  Tenex does not remove healthy tendon as it is guided by live imaging during the procedure

 

Common conditions treated by Tenex Tenotomy

  • Tennis elbow

  • Golfer's elbow

  • Hip Tendonitis

Procedure detail:

  1. Takes aproximately 20 minutes

  2.  Small 2-3mm incision is sufficient for the procedure

  3. Tenex is performed just with lidocainer and no anesthesia

  4. Procedure is performed with ultrasound guidance

  5. Depending on which tendon is treated , your post procedure instructions will be different. 

  6. You will start rehabilitation  program a few days after procedure
